Outreach: Home Visiting and Respite Childcare
The Outreach Team at Relief Nursery supports families who are raising young children and experiencing high levels of stress, with a focus on reducing isolation, building attachment, providing resources, and supporting parents in their goals for their family.
Individualized and Responsive Family Support
Every family has unique strengths and challenges, and we know that the parent-child relationship is the most important factor in long-term outcomes for children. The Outreach Team is often the first point of contact for families seeking support, and understands the challenges parents face. Comprehensive and individualized services offered include:
- Home Visiting: Home visits allow us to connect with families in their own environments, providing tailored support and guidance. During these visits, we explore each family’s needs and work collaboratively to address challenges.
- Parenting Education and Support: We offer parenting education that covers a wide range of topics, helping parents develop effective strategies to support their child’s growth and well-being.
- Respite Child Care: We recognize that parents of young children need time for self-care, to access other services, and to make progress on their family goals. Respite child care is an important part of supporting the entire family.
- Crisis Support: Our team is ready to respond to families in crisis, offering timely assistance and connecting them with the appropriate resources to navigate difficult situations.
- Community Resource Referrals: We connect families with community resources that provide additional support for employment, health and mental health, and enriching opportunities for their children.
- Child Development Screenings: Early identification of developmental concerns is key to providing timely intervention. Our child development screenings help ensure that children receive the support they need to thrive.
- Basic Needs Assistance: Our clothing closet, food pantry, diaper bank, and transportation resources assist families with some of their most basic needs, helping to alleviate some of the burdens they may be facing.
Family Partnership
Our Outreach Team is dedicated to providing a supportive connection for families in need. Whether it’s through parenting support, home visiting, or resource referrals, we are here to help families navigate the challenges of raising young children. We work to empower parents and help them create positive outcomes for themselves and their children.
